By now, it is practically a foregone conclusion that Hillary Clinton will be running on the Democratic ticket in 2016. So, as her potential opponent would Chris Christie bode well against her? With a reported 57% of Americans backing her candidacy and a 55% approval rating for Christie, the race would likely be very tight because of the opponents' striking differences.
For one, they obviously are not the same gender, and you might think Hillary would have the inside track to the female vote. However, although she will likely get the female Democratic vote, she may lose some of the middle-ground females because of the potential cattiness factor.
She will certainly not get the Conservative vote, as she has been a key cog in the Democratic Party for years. Christie, on the other hand, apparently has cross-party appeal, and the freshness of his straight-forward style will likely do him favors, as Obama's charisma did in 2008 and 2012. Hillary's deliberate, calculated way of speaking may mean less foot-in-mouth moments on the campaign trail, but at this point we know what we are getting with her.
Ultimately, it will come down to whether the American people are ready to do away with the Obama administration and its cronies.
